Reading Exercises

1. The sport Lacrosse is still unknown to most people in todays society.  They see this sport as just another violent sport with no meaning.  However, most people play the sport just for that reason.  On the contrary, many of the players who arnt aware of how violent the sport actually is, end up quiting because of just that.  For the truth of the matter, I believe this sport is very exilerating because of the violence in ensues.  In this essay, the sport of lacroose will be fully analyzed so people can realize the wonders it creates.

2. In the Introduction to "They Say/ I say": The Moves That Matter in Academic Writing, Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein provide templates designed to ensure that the reader understands and can recreate a writing piece that is academiclly "correct".  As the authors themeselves put in, "There words of wisdom."  Although some people believe that restating the question is the key to success, Graff and Birkenstein insist that anwsering everything that is stated in the question is the most important.  I agree.  In my view, the types of templates that the authors recommend is the most important.  Some might object, of course, on the grounds that they have a strong opinion and dont want to be told otherwise.  Overall, then, I believe that the experts should be trusted, nad their information should be valid --an important point to make given.
